This week for kiwi can we were learning about positive communication. We played a team energiser. We did street fighter and A role play.

This week for SSR selfie, we had to read our book then we had to describe about the main characters. Then we had to describe what happen in the book.

3D shapes

LI: to learn about 3D shapes

This week for Maths, we were learning about 3D shapes. We had to create shapes that are interesting. Then we had to create a kitchen.

Rippa rugby

LI: to learn our first lesson of playing rugby.

This week for kiwi sport we were learning how to play rippa rugby. Our rugby coach was Justice and Andrew. First we got into a warm up. First we learnt how to pass back and how to catch. Then we played rats and rabbits. Then the last game we started to play was rugby tag. My team scored 2 trys And the other teams scored 2 trys so it was a tie. Then started picking up the sports equipment and then we went back.

This week we learnt about 5 different Punctuation marks and how to use them. First we learnt about what Punctuation Marks are and how to use each different one. Next we created a poster to show our learning.

LI: to give things a go

This week for kiwi can, we have been learning about giving things a go. We played an energiser.

How to play: you had to grab a buudy and the you had to sit
facing your buddy with a cone in the middle/between. If a teacher says a key word you had to grab the cone. The first one to grab the cone, the other one has to do a push up or a star jump.

My name worth

LI: to describe our name worth than.

This week we have been learning about learning what our name is worth. We had to write our name then we had to describe about how much the total of our name that is worth.

LI: to make a puzzle hundred board using objects

This week for maths we were learning about puzzle hundreds board using objects. First we had to solve the real live puzzle then we had to do it on the netbook. We had to make 100 of squares then we had to mix them up with colours and then we had to put the objects on.

Print Design Rules

LI: to explain what print design rules is.

This week, we were learning about Print Design Rules. Print Design Rules has 4 words about it.

  1. Composition
  2. Layout
  3. Colour
  4. Text

Composition is a balance of pictures and texts. Layout is margins and align text and images. Colours is using the write for a text and background. Text is the align sentance. We had to describe the good and bab pictures and findout whats bad.

Self portrait

This week for art we were learning about making a self portrait of ourselves. A selfportrait is an art picture of yourself. We had to choose a picture style. It was rearther Mrs Anderson or Mr Wongs style.

Te tiriti o Waitangi



This week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi by accessing different text types and media.

In groups we needed to firstly access the information and gather the main ideas of Who, What, Where, Why and When. We had journal stories, websites, youtube videos and more.

We then had to summarise the information into sentences using key words. Even though we all picked out different words, the main idea of the treaty are the 3 Ps.

The 3 Ps are Protection, Partnership and Participation. This is what the treaty set out to achieve.

Maritime museum | History explores

LI: to study the history of newzealand explores

This week for lS1's trip we were learning the maritime museum.
We met an owner of the place called Lee and Pita. We learned about were the captains sailing around the islands. And we also learned about when there was no people in NZ accept animals and nature.
Then we started to explore history.

Crazy cricket chaos

LI: to develop fundamental movements in cricket.

Revel-We did our first session of cricket with Brian from HPCC.

Events-I did a session on throwing a ball at a set of stumps.
Events 2-We also did an activity where we had to hit 2 balls off cones as far as we could.
Events 3-Lastly we did a catching drill with 2 balls in a bi circle.

Ending-I was so tiered at the end from all the running. I need to work on my aiming when throwing.
