Big machine boogie is a book about a road roller, digger truck and mixer truck. Rymining words are 2 words that have have the same letter sounds, usually the last letter.

Homophone, homonyms and homographs are used as pronunciations, spellings and different meanings

Homophones have the same pronunciation but different spelling and meaning.
Homonyms have The same spelling and same pronunciation but different meaning.
Homographs have The Same spelling. Different pronunciation and meaning.

Sound is a volume of noise. Sound has three properties.

One property is sound can travel around corners

Another property is sound travels in all directions

One more property is sound dissipates as it travels

L.I: To demonstrate Prior knowledge

This week for inquiry we were creating a prior knowledge of what makes light and sound.

We needed to find images of things that make light and images that make sound. Last we had to describe about the images how they make light and sound.

Sentences

LI- To write a complete and correct sentence.

Fanboys, Homophone, Capital letters, and Punctuation marks are used in sentences. 

Fanboys are used for 2 sentences that come together to make 1 sentence.
Homophone are used to have different meanings of 2 words that sound the same.
Capital letters are used  in every beginning of a sentence, names, months and places.
Punctuation marks are used as a full stop, comma, or question mark.

WW1 event

LI: To find keywords and information in a range of text

This week for reading i was creating information of an event and that soldiers do, get, eat and caused in WW1. I was creating information then i had to tell the effects if it is negative or positive and why. Then we had to think of supplies that a soldiers would pack in WW1.


  1. I chose comfort-biscuits and chips to help the soldiers not starve
  2. I chose shovel to help dig the trenches.
  3. I chose wood to not let the dirt fall in the hole.
  4. I chose paper and pen to write letters and dairy's.
  5. I chose sleeping bag so can have rest in the trench.
  6. I chose duckboards so soldiers don't get the tench foot.
  7. I chose water so the soldiers don't get firsty
  8. I chose nails for the soldier to hang up his stuff up
  9. I chose Meal tins and play card so the soldier can have extra food and to play cards to not get board.
  10. Then i chose books so soldiers can read books.
