Kiwi sport | Touch

 This week for kiwi sport we learned new basic trick of touch.

Planting the ball: First skill was that we ran with 2 people cone to cone. After we ran to the cones. We put the ball under our legs and the other had to pick it up and pass it back.

Scoop touch: We played a game that include 11 balls on 2 teams That was bibs and non bibs and we had to tag people with the ball. 

Attack and defence: We Played a game that include 2 attackers and 1 defender. The attackers had to score a try by passing the ball. The defenders had to defend the try line.

I enjoyed this game because i tought me how to plant.

Division

This week for maths we learnt about how to solve Division.

First we wrote the amount of object. For example: 21 chairs

Next we wrote who we shared the object with. For example: 3 people

Next we wrote how many you and the other person have each. For example: 7 chairs each.

Last we wrote the algorithm. For Example: 21 ÷ 3 = 7

Touch rugby | Kiwi sport

Today we learned some basic skills for touch rugby.

First we learned how to tap the ball, catch and pass the ball.

Afterwards we played passing drills to get better at committing to the ball and catching.

I enjoyed playing rugby touch because it tough me how to catch using the W . 

Division

This week for maths we learnt about how to solve Division.

First we wrote the amount of object.

Next we wrote who we shared the object with.

Next we wrote how many you and the other person have each.

Last we wrote the algorithm. For Example: 18  

Kupu

This week for maori we used a dictionary to translate maori words to english words.

The task we did was to highlight the english words in green if they were right.

Then we matched the picture with the words.

I enjoyed this activity because i learnt new maori words.

Touch

 This week for kiwi sport we learnt about rugby touch.

First we started to walk on court by thoroughing the ball above our heads.

Next we practised how to pass and catch and we walked around the court and we passed the ball and put the ball under our legs.

Last we played a game off passing the ball to someone and we had to put them in the right coloured hoop

I enjoyed this game it tough me how to catch.

Understanding Experiments

This week, we learnt about experimenting to identify how absorbent different materials are.

First we talked consistency, percision, careful measurement, repitition, and comparisons. Then we started to make an experiment with a measuring cup, water, food colouring, 50g material and tray.

Then we started to put water in 100ml in a measuring cup. Next we put 5 drops of food colouring. Then we had materials and we measured it on a scale to see if it was 50g. After I put the materiel in the tray and tip the water in it. Last we had to go on the recording sheet and see if the materiel absorbed all the water or not.

Te reo maori

This week for maori we learnt how to say body parts.

First I highlighted the maori words I knew in blue and the ones I don't know I left them blank. 

Then I matched the words along with the pictures.

I enjoyed the task because it taught me body parts in maori.

Division

Division is sharing objects among a number of groups. For example: there were 18 counters that were shared among 3 people. They got 6 counters each.
